Stairs II

2 sets of stairs designed for the sketchup model below...

The left staircase is designed to be constructed out of concrete - shaped into a free/flowing/natural rock formation. Nolan's artwork shows rocks and nature, therefore the stairs need to reflect this...

The right set is designed for Piccinini. It is designed to be constructed out of solid steel, welding the edges, then coated in a high-gloss resin, resembling many of her well-known artworks.

I designed Piccinini's stairs in sketchup before realising that it wasnt part of the criteria... so instead of letting all that effort go to waste, i decided to upload it anyway... (its not completed as i read the criteria half way through building the model, but it gives a better description than my rough hand-sketches...)

Stairs

We had to draw 2 sections of a stair that was featured in the lecture on monday...
